J. Mark Catron

Mediator and Arbitrator

J. Mark Catron

Mark Catron has been a trial attorney for over thirty years, and a mediator/arbitrator for about ten.  Most of his work has involved injury and insurance claims, though he’s also handled, as both an advocate and a neutral, commercial and construction matters.  He has worked on the defense side more than on the plaintiff side.  (See Mark’s detailed Curriculum Vitae.  To learn more about the law firm he has worked with his entire career, visit the Hansen, Dordell, Bradt, Odlaug & Bradt website.)

Mediation allows the parties the unique opportunity to craft their own solutions and achieve predictable results, avoiding both risk and cost.  At mediation the parties are given the opportunity to face the issues and assess their own comfort with the risks they confront.  A successful mediation is one in which each party has a full opportunity to hear and consider all of the evaluative issues in the case, and one which ends with each side knowing how far the other will go to get it settled.  (For more about Mr. Catron’s mediation philosophy, see A Win Without Losers (PDF), the article he wrote for Bench and Bar.)
